These terms apply to Pinch Notes. By using the app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

A free hobby project

Pinch Notes is a personal side project provided free of charge. It is maintained in spare time, with no paid support, no service-level guarantees, and no promise that it will keep working, stay online, or receive updates.

Casual use only

Pinch Notes is for lightweight, casual personal note-taking — shopping lists, rough ideas, scratch notes, that sort of thing. It is not intended for:

business, commercial, or professional use; passwords, credentials, or security codes; financial, tax, or legal records; medical or health information; private or sensitive personal data; or anything you would be upset, harmed, or inconvenienced to lose.

If losing a note would matter to you, use something else and keep your own backups elsewhere.

No warranties

Pinch Notes is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, data integrity, or uninterrupted availability.

Your responsibility

You use the app entirely at your own risk. You are solely responsible for what you write, store, sync, import, or delete, and for maintaining your own backups.

Notes live in your browser. Optional Google Drive sync copies files to your Google account. Data can be lost, overwritten, corrupted, or fail to sync because of browser storage limits, cleared cache, device changes, network issues, software bugs, or editing the same note on multiple devices — when that happens, the last edit wins.

No liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Kabouras and the app's author disclaim all liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, and for any loss of data, content, profits, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from or related to your use of Pinch Notes — even if we have been advised such damage is possible.

In no event will total liability exceed the amount you paid to use the app (which is zero).

Third-party services

Google Drive sync is optional and governed by Google's own terms and policies. Kabouras is not responsible for Google's services, outages, account issues, or data handling.

Changes and availability

The app, these terms, and related pages may change or be withdrawn at any time without notice. Continued use after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
